This project was completed in 3 months from start to finish. The brief from the client was to modernise a penthouse flat on the seafront of Teignmouth and to make the living space practical, stylish, yet comfortable. M J Slade redesigned the living space by altering room sizes and opening the kitchen and living area together. This increased the light and opened the wonderful sea views to all in the main penthouse space. An office was cleverly incorporated into a space behind the kitchen with access being hidden by the kitchen units themselves. Two bedrooms and a large bathroom have also been created increasing the value of the property by more than a third. The balcony has also been designed to offer outside entertaining space with dramatic and unequalled views of the Teignmouth seafront. The old lift shaft, which was unused has been cleverly designed as a utility room.
